Glad you decided to stop by!
So, whaddaya wanna know?

There aren't many of us, but we're instrumental (haha) to the MOB! We're a section without crazy, set traditions-- just good measures of mischief and randomness. But we're harmless, really - except maybe at our annual shotgun sectional. Having braved new frontiers in sectional bonding last year, we've got tons of fun planned for the upcoming season.

  • Denny Ng, Section Leader
    Wiess '07, Majors: History & Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations
    A.K.A. "Notorious D.N.G." Also the President of the Rice Shooting Club. Ask me about skeet!
  • Mairi Litherland
    Brown '09, Major: ??
    Mairi's the Assistant Librarian for the MOB! She sets a good example when the fearless section leader is too lazy to do so.
  • Eric Rechlin, alum
    Will Rice '04, Major: Electrical Engineering
    Eric's hiding out in Argentina and Canada for now, but he's promised to return. He's an international calculator dealer and man of mystery.
  • Dawn Riester, our resident OF.

Don't forget the other opportunities to play horn with the Band department:
Basketball Owl Band (BOB)- starts after MOB (ok, football) season's over, runs through Spring Break
Rice Symphonic Band- both semesters, can be taken for 1 hour credit or just volunteer
