HOWDY DO XXX!!!

My name is Jake Robinson, and I’ll be the MOB’s Fliccoboe (flute + piccolo + oboe = 🤯) Section Leader for 2025-26!!! I love making music with my lovely friends, screaming chants at opposing teams, and yapping like there’s no tomorrow! Regardless of your musical level, there’s a place for you in the MOB! From all-state ensemble members to a little bit rusty (even a lot bit) to complete beginners, the MOB will welcome you with open arms!!!
The fliccoboe section in particular is a simultaneously organized and unhinged bunch! We have our own unique tags that we use to anno- I mean hype up our fellow MOBsters (top secret), and casual weekly meals (based on everyone’s schedules). Also, I have a few ideas for section fun nights planned for the semester… 

On top of the mountains of fun we have together, nothin we do in the MOB is mandatory—we know classes and homework can get very hectic, we’ve been there! Because of that, we’re super understanding about pretty much everything, including homework and class stuff, extenuating circumstances, and the stuff beyond your control. We were all freshmen at some point and we understand that Rice is a big adjustment (especially in the fall!), so we’re here to help you with the struggle! The MOB is a place to destress, not stress more, and we’re a jolly and fun bunch of people if I do say so myself ;)
