Homies and bros, gals and pals, dudes and foods (yessir, you ARE a snack)— welcome to the BEST section ever: the Reeds!!!!

Who’s in this section, you ask? Anyone who shares our camaraderie of knowing the taste of wood, of course! (Except if you’re an oboe— we lost them in the Woodwinds civil war along with the flutes, which now make up the WAY less cool and less cash money ‘fliccoboes’ section, smh.) We’re a bright and fresh and fun newly fused section of saxes and clarinets, and this year we’re going to jazz up the MOB with our immaculate vibes more than ever before! Mayhaps even literally?! For sure, you can count on us having a BLAST at section diners, asserting our dominance in the band hall, using uno-reverse cards, fighting for our lives and sliding off the walls, and much, MUCH more! 

The MOB is the perfect place no matter where you fall on the musical scale of talent, so no worries if you’ve never held an instrument before in your life. We’ll teach you, indoctrinate you in our Swag(™) traditions, and have a great time being the coolest section! Hold onto your socks and get ready to have the best Rice experience ever by joining the MOB (and Reeds section) today!!!
