🎶HellooooOOOOoooo there!!🎶 Allow us to introduceth thou to our Show Assistants section~!

Don’t play an instrument? Play an instrument? Want to play/learn an instrument and do other fun stuff, too?? We’re the section for you!

We show assistants are a small but powerful section! Armed with duct tape and multiple homemade catapults, we make the magic behind every MOB show. By day, we write funny scripts, and by night, we gallivant with props and costumes. (Or vice versa, depending on our mood.)

Watch any video of the MOB, and you’ll see MOBsters without instruments – that’s us! As a result, we are a section unique to the MOB. No where else will you find a place quite like this one. A marching band with a writing team?? A prop crew?? And actors?? All as one! 

And when we’re not running all over the field or scheming to create our newest show, we dance in the stands with our sister section, the Stringatronics, and wield ✨kazoos!✨ Our director Chuck Throckmorton affectionately calls us and the Strings the “angry hornet section” heheheh. We also join our Drum Major and Minor in the glorious Louie Louie dance!

We welcome anyone and everyone! We’d love to meet you and bring your creativity with us to the band hall, the field, and beyond. There’s something for everyone in this section, whether you like writing jokes, building, dancing, acting, kazooing, or even just vibing. Hope to see you soon!
