flutes and piccolos

Welcome to the webpage for the best instruments in the band. Yea, that's right -- the best. You know it; we know it.
We are the MOB's flute and piccolo section!

So what exactly do we do?

Simple answer: anything game.
In the band, we usually play the melody. Yay.
Our instruments are light so during the band's walk to the stadium on game days, we wash windows of cars that stop.
We have sectionals and go to section dinners.
And we dress in theme (last year was Hawaiian shirts) for a game or two.

Contact us by e-mailing the section leader at flutes AT mob DOT rice DOT edu.
