No aulophobia here!

Welcome to the Flute and Piccolo section webpage! We are, indubitably, the best section around these parts. Read on to discover the Flute or Piccolo in you.

Current Members

Hilary Baker-Jennings
This Jones sophomore is a Harry Potter fanatic, Medieval Studies major, flutist extraordinaire, and possibly the cutest ninja-princess you've ever seen.
Mary Cochran
Often brings her daughter, Jamie, along for the ride and lends the use of her pool-side residence for MOB recreation at the end of the year.
Jessica Cruz
OC junior of Will Rice often found to be obsessing over little details, and sometimes referred to as Mistress of the Flute Legion of Doom.
Jane Labyer
Don't be fooled by her sweet and smiling countenance, this Brown sophomore is an occasional spy/CIA agent and a deadly shot with a flute pea-shooter.
Kerri "Cap'n Obvious" Welsh
This Baker alumna is a mini-historian for the section. Her many skills include speech pathology and mothering one of The MOB's youngest members.

If you're so cool, what do you do?

Anything that pops into our heads. Musically, we play the melody, of course. When we don't have the melody, we dance in protest. We have sectionals to congratulate ourselves for our perfect fingering and tonal techniques. During MOBover on game day, we wash the windows of stopped and parked cars, in a charitable fashion. We enjoy section-bonding meals together, make plans to covertly take over Rice, and dress up once during the MOB/football season — 2007's theme was "A Flute LARP".
